First of all, my apologies to Del to whom I have twice sent emails requesting information which she had already posted to the list! One of the problems is, unlike last year when we logged on to a wifi account from next door, I am having to log onto some unknown person's connection that can only be accessed on a low strength and only while I am perched on the arm of the living room sofa and the computer is angled just so in front of the living room window.
Yesterday has been fully explored by Del and I will just say that last night was a time of sharing among those of us present. We all acknowledged the elephant in the room, got our concerns off our respective chests and, as usual, listened carefully to what everyone had to say, and came to no concrete conclusions.
This morning found some of the younger wrens exploring St. Simons and some of the older wrens, myself among them, sleeping until 9:00 a.m. or later and not being fully functional until the cup of coffee and the shower at around noon. I would say that Swear is currently (it's 2 p.m. here) transforming herself from her zebra pants uniform into the fashionista that we all know her to be.
For those wrens who were here last year, it has been great renewing those friendships. For those new this year, it has been fun getting to put names and faces together. For those who were here last year and not able to be here, we miss you. For those of you planning to be here next year: it's the smartest thing you'll ever do.
